Sub-Slab Depressurization System Installation – Industrial Vapor Mitigation
In 2025, CTIS was contracted to design and install a Sub-Slab Depressurization System (SSDS) at an active industrial facility in York, Pennsylvania, following the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in sub-slab soil samples. This critical environmental mitigation project aimed to reduce the risk of vapor intrusion and protect indoor air quality.
The scope of work included the installation of engineered suction points, vertical risers, overhead and exterior piping, high-efficiency fan systems, protective bollards, and full cleaning and slab sealing to prevent sub-slab vapors from entering the occupied facility.
This project highlights CTIS’s technical expertise in environmental risk mitigation and our commitment to delivering tailored, high-performance solutions in complex industrial environments.
